ABOUT NADYA ALBERTSSON
Growing up in Stockholm, Sweden, Nadya Albertsson recently gained her music degree at Aberdeen University and is now based in Berlin. She has performed at jazz festivals including Edinburgh and Aberdeen Jazz festival. She sings great songs ranging from Ella Fitzgerald to Erykah Badu and Esperanza Spalding. Her effortlessly beautiful voice has been described as reminiscent of Alice Coltrane. In 2018 she competed in the semi final of the Young Sottish Jazz Musician and opened for Georgina Jackson at the Blue Lamp in Aberdeen.

WORK
Collaborating with bands and artists around Scotland and the UK for the past few years have been the most exciting for me. I write my own music, however I have a lot of experience working with bands, writing melody and lyrics for songs and bigger arrangements.
This past year I have worked with bands such as, Dundee based band Milhouse Collective, The Hamlet Collective, Rebeca Vasmant from Glasgow on her recently released album From Glasgow With Love and recent singles Scott Bathgate such as Heavy Soul and Devoir. And plenty more with hime to come!
Currently working on my first EP with a bunch of wonderful people all over Scotland and other exciting projects and I am so excited to share it all with you very soon!
